Life On The Farm – Life

Hello Friends:

It is another beautiful day here in East Tennessee, and another beautiful new calf born on the Hedrick Farm!

Being a part of, or even just observing, the birth of a child or an animal is a truly amazing experience.  Nothing else can compare to the feeling and excitement of watching a baby breath it’s first breath.

Of course, with life, comes death.   This week, it was necessary for us to say goodbye to Ebb, a little guy that has been part of our lives for over 16 years.   That hurt — it hurt a lot.  However, as long as the Good Lord allows, we will always have a little Ebb (or a big Ebb) in our lives.

May we suggest that each of us makes a special effort to appreciate life this day!

  1. This is so true. Life is filled with good and bad, happiness and sadness, birth and death. Regardless He will be with us through it all.

  2. I have been through the pain of loss…both human family and furry family. I pray that you have peace in the midst of your pain.
